An individual may attend with the intent of gaining a qualification in chaplaincies, guidance, education and more learned subjects. One might study in a seminary to raise their religious life, to research academic interests, or to groom for non-ordained ministries. The exemplary seminary will exhibit a type of sacred and/or scholarly education, including the discipline of religious history and theology and may as well grant different types of degrees. These types of establishments can be evangelical, fundamentalistic, Pentecostal, Reformed, Christian Education Mormon, Roman Catholic, or even multi-denominational in predilection.  There are four central course areas that Christian seminaries offer: human, spiritual, intellectual and pastoral.
