Ignorance of the law is no excuse for not abiding by the laws of the United Kingdom, so it’s wise to make sure you’re aware of all the health and safety regulations you must abide by if you are running a bed and breakfast, guesthouse or small hotel in the UK.

Don’t feel daunted though.  There are organizations that can help you in terms of the legal aspects and health and safety training.  Do a search in Google for fire risk safety assessment uk or similar keyphrase to find a list of companies dedicated to fire safety assessments for example.
